Environmental Education: The major objective of environmental education is to make the people or the citizens to be aware of their surroundings and localities and about the risks associated with environmental exposures. They will be taught about the environment (biophysical) problems, the development and maintenance of methods to solve the problems, taking actions to build a green environment and a sustainable future.
Environmental education can be taught in classrooms, in communities and in nature centers as museums, parks and zoos. Education should emphasize on how the environment works and how should we treat and keep it healthy. This requires knowledge and skills from people through all the subject areas of biology, chemistry, physics, social science…….and more.
“In the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand and we will understand only what we are taught.”
